The Human Body: Sense Organs

- A human being has five senses. These senses are:
  1. Sense of sight.
  2. Sense of touch.
  3. Sense of taste.
  4. Sense of hearing.
  5. Sense of smell.

Functions of Sense Organs

1. The Eye

- We use the eye to see things around us.
- Therefore this is the sense of sight.

- Always keep your eyes clean.
- Use a clean piece of cloth to wipe your eyes.
- Do not look at bright light or sun directly with your eyes.
- Visit an optician.

2. The Ear

- We use our ears to hear sounds.

- Ears are sense organs for hearing.

- Do not put objects inside the ear.

3. The Nose

- We use the nose to smell good and bad smell.
- This is the sense of smelling.

- We use the tongue to taste.
- This is the sense of tasting.

4. The Skin

- The skin is used to feel the touch.
- It is the sense of touching.

- Use a towel to dry.
- Apply oil on your skin.
