Describe five types of wholesalers operating in Kenya.

I. General Merchandise wholesaler- deals in general/wide variety of goods of different lines e.g food staff, clothes etc.
II. General line wholesalers - deals in many products/goods of one line eg foodstuff - maize, beans, clothes etc.
III. Specialized wholesalers - deals in only one type of a product in a particular line eg beans only
IV. Regional wholesalers - supply goods in a given region only eg a county or province.
V. Nationwide wholesale - supply goods across the country.
VI. Mobile wholesale - use vehicles to move from place to place while selling.
VII. Rack jobbers - deal in special category of goods which they sell to other specialized wholesalers.
VIII. Cash and carry wholesale - sell goods on a self-service basis/cash basis
IX. Appointed distributors/dealers e.g Coca-Cola.
