ii. Relatively cheap - to hire and buy/maintaining
iii. Appropriate in remotes areas- where other means are not available
iv. Readily available - for hire both in rural and urban areas
v. Can carry fairly heavier /bulky load compared to portage transport
vi. Convenient for transporting goods over short distances compared to train/air transport
