Introducing Esoma-KE Classroom

Esoma-KE Classroom, also referred to as Esoma Classroom, is a platform aimed at streamlining the traditional classroom into a better, digital classroom. With this classroom, you enjoy unlimited access to both Esoma and your teachers' content. The platform has interaction features that help students engage with other students and teachers, any time of any day, in realtime. These features include discussion forums as well as direct messages with tutors. Esoma-KE Classroom helps you move into the digital space while maintaining the critical elements of a traditional, face-to-face, classroom.

Who can use Esoma-KE Classroom?

Esoma-KE Classroom is developed for both students and teachers.

For Teachers, you can interact with your students and assign them quizzes and questions sets. The system accepts not only selective answers (For Quizzes / Assignments) but also actual submissions by students (Question Sets). You no longer have to rely on selective answers; see and mark your students' working. In addition, create unlimited discussion groups, message your students and share study materials.

As a student, you have access to all your teachers' materials and discussions. You can message your teachers directly and share materials on any issues you may have. Stuck at a Mathematical problem? No worries, simply take a picture of that problem from the classroom and send it to your teacher. And the best part, you can be part of as many classes as possible.

a) How can I join a classroom?

To join a classroom, you need to be a member of Esoma-KE. You can create a free account here. After login, click 'My Classes', then 'Find a Classroom'. Here, you will follow a simple process where you will select the school level you are in (Primary or Secondary), the class, and the subjects you wish to study. The number of subjects can be one or as many as you wish.

Once you send your request, you will be assigned a suitable classroom whose timetable will be adjustable to match your schedule. Not to worry, our team will be available to assist you if you run into any issues.


b) My Classes

When you have active classes, your 'My Classes' page will appear as that shown below. Classes are designed to contain a single subject such as Mathematics, English, and so on.

  3. Teacher's Name and Phone Number
  4. Subjects Taught in the Classroom
  5. Click Button to Enter Classroom
  6. Esoma Dashboard - Click to Exit Classroom and Go to Esoma Dashboard.


c) Classroom

Within each subject, you will find related content including assignments, questions Sets, Tasks, Messages, and Discussions. Further, your scores in the assignments and question sets will be graphically represented

  4. Quick Navigation bar. Access your Messages, Discussions, Assignments, and Question Sets
  5. Sample Score Graph. It shows the score for the last 5 Assignments.


d) Assignments and Question Sets

Assignments - Unless stated otherwise, Assignments have Multiple choices (Usually A, B, C and D). They will often have a deadline and graded upon submission

Question Sets - They require typing or taking a picture of your answers and submitting it. Your teacher will mark your answer and grade it.
